Three Vandal tees laid flat on paper: the cream title tee, Destroy the Box on black, Uprising on Cherokee red

Two ways of breaking a box. One draws it slow: long horizontals, leaded glass, a roof that reaches past its walls. The other cuts a stencil and sprays it once. Six shirts where the two meet.

Every graphic is drawn as one stencil layer with bridges left in, so what you see on the shirt is exactly what could be cut from card and sprayed on a wall.

Destroy the Box: a stencil figure kicks an art-glass box apart, shards of ochre and red flying
Let It Leak: a figure shelters under a Prairie roof while cantilevered slabs fall like rain
Glass Tree: three leaded-glass trees sprayed through a stencil, a crouching figure with a can
Compression / Release: a walking figure steps from dense vertical bars into wide horizontal lines
Vandal: the title tee, stencil wordmark over datum lines, an art-glass panel and a spray can
Uprising: a raised fist built from stacked blocks with long horizontal eaves

The six graphics as printed: three colours, flat, no halftones.

Compression / Release on a black tee against a Cherokee red field

Compression, then release.

The oldest trick in a good room: a low, tight entry so the space beyond feels enormous. Shirt 04 does it in two inches of cotton. A figure walks out of dense verticals into a wide field of horizontals.

Palette

Four inks and three blanks. Cherokee red is the one thing that stays constant on every shirt. Ochre stands in for amber glass; ink and bone swap depending on the blank.

Printed at 300 lines per inch is not the point. Printed by hand, once, is.

Set in a heavy grotesk and cut with diagonal bridges at twenty-two degrees, the same angle on every shirt so the set reads as one family from across the room.

A studio apparel collection that puts two opposite instincts on one shirt: the street stencil, cut fast and sprayed once, and prairie geometry, drawn slow and built to the inch. Each graphic is a single-layer stencil with real bridges, printed in three colours on heavyweight cotton, with leaded-glass grids, long horizontals and deep eaves doing the talking.
